タイムトリップして昔の自分に会いに行く好評連載に、乃木坂46屈指の和風美人、樋口日奈が登場！三人姉妹の末っ子として過ごした彼女の幼少期とは…？
In this popular series, where we make a trip through time with the top Japanese beauties of Nogizaka46 to meet their younger selves, Higuchi Hina makes her entry! As the youngest of three sisters, how did she spend her childhood…?
ずっとシャイな子で……
乃木坂に入ってよかった
I was always a shy kid……
I am glad that I got into Nogizaka.
—乃木坂メンバーが過去の自分に会いに行く「Hello me」。今回は樋口さんの登場です。これらはいつ頃のお写真ですか？
樋口 両方とも二歳頃ですね。右はディズニーランドに行ったときの写真だと思います。動物園や海に連れて行ってもらった覚えもありますし、小さい頃はよく家族そろって遊びに出かけていました。
—Nogizaka members go and meet their past selves in “Hello me”. This time, Higuchi-san makes her entry. From about when are these pictures?
Higuchi Both are from when I was around two years old. I think the right one was when I went to Disneyland. I also remember going to the zoo and to the sea, when I was little we often went out with the whole family.
—樋口さんは三人姉妹の末っ子ですよね。お姉さんたちとの仲はどうでしたか？
樋口 真ん中のお姉ちゃんとは歳がひとつしか違わないこともあってか、ずっと一緒に遊んでましたね。幼稚園や学校のあとも、友達じゃなくてお姉ちゃんとバレーボールやローラースケートをしてました。一番上のお姉ちゃんには、髪の毛とかお洋服選びとか、かわいくしてもらうことが多かったですね。
—You are the youngest of three sisters. How was your relationship with your sisters?
Higuchi My middle sister and I only differ one year in age, so we always played together. After kindergarten and school, I was playing volleyball and roller skating with my sister instead of with friends. As for my eldest sister, we did a lot of cutesy things like choosing hair style and clothes.
—完全なお姉ちゃんっ子ですね。
樋口 お姉ちゃんの真似で始めた習い事も多かったし、本当に頼りっきりでしたね。家に知らない人が来たら、お姉ちゃんの影に隠れたりもしていました(笑)。ものすごく恥ずかしがり屋だったんですよね。
—They are perfect sisters, aren’t they?
Higuchi Because I learned a lot things by imitating my sisters, I really only relied on them. When I person I didn’t know came to our house, I also hid behind my sisters (laughs). I was a really shy person.
—恥ずかしがり屋っぽいエピソード、なにかありましたか？
樋口 七五三で写真を撮ってもらうとき、はじめは目がなくなるくらいに二カ～ッと笑ってたんですけど、スタジオの方に「かわいい！」って褒められた途端に笑えなくなっちゃった覚えがあります(笑)。乃木坂に入っていろんな方と話すようになるまで、ずっと恥ずかしがりで……お洋服屋の店員さんからもいつも逃げてました。乃木坂に入ることができてよかったです(笑)。
—Do you have an anecdote of being so shy?
Higuchi I remember when they took pictures of me during Shichi-Go-San*, at first I was smiling so bright they couldn’t see my eyes, but as soon as the people in the studio praised me saying “cute!”, I couldn’t smile anymore (laughs). Up until I entered Nogizaka and I came to talk to various people, I was always shy…. I always ran away from the salesperson of the clothes store as well. I am glad I was able to enter Nogizaka (laughs).
[* Shichi-Go-San (七五三, lit. “Seven-Five-Three”) is a traditional rite of passage and festival day in Japan for three- and seven-year-old girls and three- and five-year-old boys, held annually on November 15 to celebrate the growth and well-being of young children. – Ed.]
—アイドルってすごい！(笑)
樋口 でも、今思うと昔からチャレンジ精神は強かったのかもしれないです。恥ずかしがるくせに、学芸会ではいつもメインの役を狙ってました。『大きなかぶ』のおばあちゃん役とか、人が選ばないけど実は出番が多いような役を選んでましたね。
—Being an idol is amazing! (laughs)
Higuchi But, thinking back now, I might have had a strong challenge spirit since I was young. Despite being shy, I was always aiming for the main role at the school arts festival. People don’t choose roles such as the grandma from “The Giant Turnip”, but I actually chose such roles with a lot of stage time.
—冷静な子ですね(笑)。では、もしタイムマシンでこの頃の自分に会に行くとしたら？
樋口 この頃から芸能界への憧れを持っていたので、「芸能人になれてるよ！」って教えてあげたいですね。「甘くない世界だから、特技を作っておきな」って(笑)。あと、最近自分も二十歳近くになてきて、やっとお父さんやお母さんのありがたみがわかってきたんです。「自分もお母さんみたいに、人をちゃんと育てられるようになりたい。これからいっぱい親孝行するね」って、きちんと伝えたいですね。
—You were a calm child, weren’t you (laughs). Well, what if you could visit yourself from then with a time machine?
Higuchi Because I was yearning to the world of show business since that time, I want to tell myself “You can become a performer!”. And say ”Because it’s a tough world, train a special skill” (laughs). Also, because I recently became twenty years old, I finally came to realize how much I owe my father and mother. I want to properly convey “Just like mother, I also want to be able to raise a person properly. From now on, obey your parents, okay?”.
